What is the Bill of Lading?

The Bill of Lading is a legal document issued by your carrier that details the vehicle(s) for transport, the condition, and destination. It also serves as the contract and functions as your shipment receipt. In the unlikely event that vehicle damages occur in shipping, make specific notes on the Bill of Lading upon delivery and have the driver sign the form before accepting the vehicle. The car owner does not need to be at pick up or delivery to sign the Bill of Lading, but we recommend that a representative at least 18 years of age is there to sign for the transaction.
